2009 NRL surprise packets the Bulldogs take on the Panthers on Friday night with both teams being spared the rigours of having to lose players to State of Origin with the exception of the Panthers Luke Lewis and Pedero Civinoceva.
The Bulldogs sit in second place and look the goods to take two points over the Panthers who will struggle with two of their top players out.
The Roosters have firmed as wooden spoon favourites following off field dramas and terrible form and should be no match for the ever consistent North Queensland outfit despite them missing play maker Jonathon Thurstans.
NRL’s form team over the last three years, the Melbourne Storm, have moved to outright favourites for another premiership following solid performances and host the Tigers who, despite pitching in with decent wins in the last two weeks will do very well to even challenge the home side.

The Canberra Raiders are possibly the biggest under achievers of the 2009 NRL competition, face the arduous task of travelling to fortress Brookevale to take on last season’s premiers in the Manly Sea Eagles.
After a shock loss to current bottom of the ladder Cronulla, Canberra will struggle to match the fire power of the Sea Eagles at home.

To round out the weekends action, Cronulla host a terribly under strength Brisbane Outfit (thanks to origin) and may just get the points at home in the shire.
