Not only has Lockyer ruled himself out of the Centenary Test game, but also the first game of the NRL State of Origin series. The State of Origin commences on May 21st, but he has said that this game is not looking very likely given that he is expected to undergo an unexpected period on the sidelines with another bout of surgery needed.
The Centenary Test coach Ricky Stuart has confirmed that Greg Bird would be moving from lock to five-eightth. This is a great shame for Lockyer and the Centenary Test.
