Game One To Brisbane Bullets
March 3, 2007 3:49 pm BasketballAll the talk is that basketball is hot again in Brisbane. Wind back to the mid-80’s and NBL Basketball was all the talk in Brisbane - the home team regularly able to sell out their 12,000 seat venue. They were the best team in the league and the whole city supported them.
Half a decade later, the Brisbane Bullets have been reborn and have dominated the 2006-2007 NBL Season. They went into the championship final series against the Melbourne Tigers with a 20-game winning streak under their belts. Game one was on last night and it was a tight fight all the way to the end.
In fact, it looked like the Tigers were going to knock out Brisbane in Brisbane. However, the Bullets fought back and hit the lead with just over 1 minute left in the match, their first time since early in the 2nd quarter.
The final score in the first game of the www.NBL.com.au finals series for 2007 was 98-95. The Bullets are on their way to take the crown back to Brisbane again.
Brisbane are now into 1.40 to win the NBL Championship, with Melbourne at 3.00. Game two sees the teams travel to Melbourne on Sunday night, March 4th. Melbourne are warm favourites to win that game, posted at 1.54 - Brisbane are at 2.50. Want a value bet? Why not back Brisbane - they have won 21 games in a row now - is it time for the streak to end?
The line in Game two is 3.5, so why not have some at Brisbane +3.5 if you’re so inclined?
