Centrebet.com.au – It would appear that David Gallop and the National Rugby League may be losing the war on alcohol fuelled incidents amongst its players after two young Bulldog players turned on each other after a night out in Wentworthville over the weekend.

The Bulldogs were essentially last years laughing stocks during a miserable season that saw the defection of super star Sonny Bill Williams and them finish at the tail end of the field.

The seem to have rallied though this year to sit third on the ladder after three rounds, just behind fellow underachievers and 2009 surprise packets the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

However tempers flared on Saturday night after Ben Barba and Jamal Idris traded punches in the car park of the Wentworthville Hotel on Saturday night while a third team mate Lee Te Maari watched on.

It is alleged that Barba came off second best and it’s no surprise given that Idris in nearly six inches taller and 23 kilos heavier.

It is alleged that Barba was tormenting Te Maari who seemed relatively unperturbed by the banter and it was Idris who took offence and stepped in after Barba shoved the ex St George second rower.

Unafraid of the giant Idris, Barba shoved him as well and ended up on the receiving of a stiff right jab that left him with a bloody nose.

All three players are expected to face a disciplinary hearing before the end of the week though it is unsure what their punishment will be.
