The most watched and anticipated Cricket Test Series is well and truly underway and all the best options for Ashes betting this year can be found at IASbet.com.au.

To have a sports bet at iasbet.com.au click the link!

The first test saw and incredibly luck England manage to salvage a draw despite Australia heading into the final day as red hot favourites after one of the most commanding batting displays in recent history that saw four players notch up centuries to put Australia over two hundred runs ahead.

IASbet.com.au gave England almost no chance of batting out a draw after they sat at five for seventy on the last day but once again the tail managed to wag and Australia simply could not get the last wicket of either Panasar or Anderson to take the outright win.

Punters who took the option of a draw at IASbet.com would have been laughing all the way to the bank after they offered some of the juiciest odds of any of the major online sports betting companies.

IASbet.com.au is not alone in posting Australia as hot favourites in the head to head battle with the Aussies holding steady at two dollars seventy for the win while England have blown out to over four dollars fifty.

IASbet.com.au also has some of the best odds on several fantastic options including which team will win the toss, head to head batting options (who will make the most runs out of two individuals), first dismissal, most runs scored by an individual, most wickets taken by an individual as well as win loss draw options.

Centrebet.com has got you covered, ball-by-ball, in the 2009 Ashes series. With England looking to repeat its success of 2005 on its home turf, the series will be hotly contested, as you would expect.

To bet on the ashes at centrebet.com.au click here!

Punters will also be busy during the series at Centrebet.com. The first Test of the series begins on Wednesday night (Australian time). At Centrebet.com, Australia is listed as a $2.40 favourite to get a 1-0 lead in the five-match series, while England is at $3.90. A draw is heavily favoured at $2.60, not surprising given the fact that heavy rain in England is common.

Cricket fans can also bet on runs scored by each player in the first Test in the pre-determined categories of 0, 1 to 24, 25 to 49, and so on. Young gun Phil Hughes is at $5.50 to score 100 or more in his first innings in a Test in England.

In betting for the series, Australia is priced at $1.71, despite some concerns in the lead-up matches, while the home team is an outsider at $3.30. A draw is a $5.75 chance in the eyes of punters. If you are keen for a bet, Centrebet provides a market for the series score-line. If you think Australia will claim the series 5-0, as it did in 2007, the odds are $13. You can get $9 for a 2-1 England win (the same result as 2005).

To Bet on NRL click the link!

Punters can also bet on the player to score the most runs or take the most wickets throughout the series, with Kevin Pietersen and Ricky Ponting the joint favourites ($6) in the batting stakes, while Mitchell Johnson ($4) is the clear favourite to claim the most wickets.

IASbet.com.au: The Indian Premier League came to a climax last night after over fifty eight high quality, entertaining matches that have proved culminated in an extremely successful series ensuring that the IPL is here to stay for a while at least.

To place your bet click here!

In a competition that draws together the biggest names in the cricketing world to compete in the most entertaining form of the game – the twenty20 version that sees the biggest hits, the highest pressure and the fastest pace going around.

To find out the latest odds on IPL check out IASbet.com.au.

The IPL was wide open leading into the last few with only the top four teams progressing through to the final series.

The Deccan Chargers, The Bangalore Royal Challengers finished fourth and third respectively while the Chennai Super Kings finished second with the Delhi Daredevis in first place.

Bet on the next match at IASBet.

However the ladder proved to be a poor indicator of how the finals series would play out as the Deccan Chargers (who snuck into the final four with a series of thrilling wins) held on the Bangalore Royal Challengers to become the 2009 Indian Premier League Champions.

The Charger posted a modest total of just 143/3 and gave the Royal Challengers every chance of reigning in the total for a historic victory.

However with the IPL trophy well and truly in sight, the faltered towards the end losing nine wickets for just 137 runs to hand the trophy to Adam Gilchrist’s Chargers.

The victory is the second time a retired Australian superstar has Captained his side to victory.

The non stop action of the Indian Premier League on CentreBet.com.au continues this week as things heat up in the race to the finals.

To bet on cricket at CentreBet.com.au click here!

The Deccan Chargers sit just clear of the Punjab Kings XI with only three points separating first and fifth place.

The Chargers, lead by Adam Gilchrist, will look to extend their unbeaten run to five straight matches when they take on third placed Delhi Daredevils tonight.

A win for the Daredevils could see them leapfrog the Punjab Kings XI into second place and challenge the Chargers for outright first position.

Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals will continue their push for a top four spot when they front up against the Chennai Superkings, who despite having the third best for and against percentage, still remain in second last place.

The Royals are looking to regain the form that made them the 2008 IPL champions and showed plenty of that when they defeated the Daredevils on Tuesday. To bet on the upcoming games, make sure you visit CentreBet.

The Mumbai Indians will attempt to consolidate their position in the top four when they take on IPL easy beats and last placed Kolkata Knight Riders.

The Indians have shown plenty of promise with the bat and will no doubt make it very difficult for the Knight Riders.

To complete the round the Punjab Kings XI play the Bangalore Royal Challengers in Durban.

The Kings XI can grab a share of the lead and consolidate their bid for the play offs while Kevin Pietersen’s Challengers will need some disciplined batting and tightness in the field if they are any chance of securing two points.

Next matches are sure to be equally exciting so ensure you get your bet on NRL and cricket betting online at CentreBet.com.au in time!

IASbet.com (International All Sports) is a cricket punters’ paradise. Whether it is a Test match, one-day international, or an Indian Premier League fixture, they have it covered. Odds are available all-year round on most matches.

To have a sports bet at iasbet.com click here!

Currently, the IAS Bet agency offers head-to-head betting for the IPL, as well as odds on the tournament winner and the highest partnership in any particular match. At present, the Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils are deadlocked at $3.25 favourites to win the tournament. Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals – the defending champions – represent good value at $7.

In addition, you can bet on the current England-West Indies Test series, including head-to-head bowling and batting combinations. For example, you can get $1.85 for Andrew Strauss scoring more runs than Alistair Cook in the second Test. You can even bet on who will win the toss in any Test during the series between the pair.

Betting on the Ashes series and the 2011 World Cup are available at IAS Bet. Australia is a $1.72 favourite for the upcoming series, with England at $3.15. However, these odds may change depending on how the Poms fare against the West Indies in their current contest.

Betting options on future competitions are limited at present but, obviously, the odds are better than you may receive later on. For example, South Africa is quoted at $5.50 to win the 2011 World Cup – long odds for such a powerful cricketing nation.

IASbet.com accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, Poli, BPay, bank transfer and even cheque. They have offices in Australia and England.

On IASbet, the Hyderabad Deccan Chargers remain undefeated at the top of the Indian Premier League after defeating the Chennai Superkings this week.

To bet on sports at IASbet.com click here!

Who would have thought that Adam Gilchrist would play a starring role for the Chargers against his old opening partner Matthew Heyden who is playing a loan hand for the Superkings and remains the IPL’s highest scoring batsman to date on IASbet.com?

The Kings XI Punjab side have moved to outright second with three wins from five starts after they accounted for the Mumbai Indians in a three run thriller that went right down to the wire. This excitement was almost parallel to that felt when a bet on NRL was placed before the big game.

Mumbai sit in fourth place despite having won just two of their five matches but with matches in hand to complete the fifth round will be very lucky to hang onto a top four spot.

Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals sit just outside the top four in fifth place on percentages after a much needed five wicket win over the Delhi Daredevils.

Looking down and out and in danger of missing the play offs, last year’s champions fought back with a solid innings from Graeme Smith and slashing innings from YK Pathan to take the points.

The Bangalore Royal Challengers lead by Kevin Pietersen sit in sixth position in the rankings just ahead of the Chennai Superkings following a solid five wicket victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders who are equal last.

The Knight Riders are just one win from six starts and no chance of making the play offs after back to back embarrassing losses to Bangalore and Mumbai.

www.sportingbet.com.au – Bryce McGain has suffered the dubious honour of having the worst figures in test Cricket history following his debut against South Africa in the third test.
McGain, who is no stranger to records, also became the oldest test cricketer (at the ripe old age of thirty six) to make his debut for Australia.

CLICK HERE TO BET ON CRICKET

He was carted all around the paddock by a feisty South African batting lineup to have over one hundred runs scored off his first eleven overs.
To rub salt in the wound, McGain failed to make a breakthrough and was replaced by Captain Ricky Ponting after just eleven overs.
The Proteas moved to an unassailable first innings total of six hundred and fifty one and MCGain would not get another chance to bowl for his country after Australia suffered it’s first single innings defeat in eleven years.

South African spinner Paul Harris showed that local knowledge can be at times invaluable as he snared three very valuable wickets on the first day of play proving that there was plenty of opportunities for a quality spinner to showcase his wares.
Despite a horror start, selectors (including Merv Hughes who overlooked paceman Andrew McDonald) declared that they would not have changed their selection in any case.

They had also stated that they would have much preferred an extra batsmen but did not feel that anyone currently in the domestic competition has what it takes to don the baggy green.
In their minds, Marcus North was the only batsman that they would have considered but he had been hospitalised given McGain his opportunity, which he failed to take. sportingbet.com.au

www.iasbet.com.au – The Australian cricket team has landed in South Africa ahead of their three match test against the Proteas and Ricky Ponting has been quick to signal his intent and the intent of his Australian bowling attack.

Coming off the back of a loss to the South Africans in both forms of the games and a drawn series against New Zealand, Ponting was quick to praise his young and relatively inexperienced bowling attack.

Despite the fact that fast bowlers Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle, Doug Bollinger and Ben Hilfenhaus have played just 23 tests between them, Ponting is confident his charges can take the twenty wickets required to dismiss the Proteas in any conditions anywhere in the world.

The inability for the Australian bowling attack to dismiss the South Africans in the recent series has very much been a talking point in the Australian and in fact international media.

It is no secret that the South African wickets have a tendency to favour swing and seam bowlers which are ideal conditions for the Australian attack.

Mitchell Johnson was a shining light for the Australian over the test series but seemed to struggle in the one day form of the game. Leaving selectors and the press adamant that the more he bowls, the better he gets.

Siddle had mixed fortunes in the test series and was left out of the one day squad in favour of Hilfenhaus who had a reasonable outing with the ball.

Bollinger domestic test has been exceptional but it is yet to be seen if his form will translate onto the international scene.Iasbet.com.au

The rule, which was introduced in July when Sri Lanka hosted India, has lain dormant until the Black Caps match against the West Indies.

Flynn was on ninety five runs, agonizingly close to his maiden test century when he was given not out following an LBW appeal.

Captain Chris Gayle promptly signaled to the third umpire. Rudy Koertzen, who, following a review of the ball in question gave Flynn his marching orders.

The new rule is not all a one way street though.

A batsman has the right to appeal a dubious decision in the event that he is given out.

There are limits to the new rule however with either side only allowed three incorrect appeal over the course of an innings before they lose the right to appeal.

Gayle was sympathetic toward Flynn for missing out on what would have been a fairytale innings after Captain Daniel Vettori’s show of faith in elevating him up the order to number three.

Flynn was disappointed but not overly phased at the decision claiming that there is no arguing with today’s technology.

Many sports have introduced the controversial third umpire but cricket is just a little bit trickier.

It is essentially exposing umpires to harsh criticism over a decision and taking power out of their hands.

If an appeal is upheld it is as good as openly saying that an umpire is wrong and hence detrimental to his credibility.

www.centrebet.com.au - Australian Cricket Coach Tin Nielsen has waded into the war of words ahead of the three match test series to commence on December seventeenth.

BET NOW

Nielsen practically scoffed at the South Africans attempts to fire up the Australian side, highlighting South Africa’s complete absence of victory (or form for that matter) on Australia soil since the side post apartheid inception back into world cricket in 1991.

Nielsen labeled any attempt by the Proteas to enter into pre-match sledging ahead of the first test in Perth as ‘cheap talk’, insisting that the South Africans need to let their cricket do the talking for once instead of their mouths.

Since 1991, the South Africans have lost four series on Australian soil and have tried every trick in the book to gain ascendancy over the unflappable home side.

Despite a recent lack of form in India, the Australian maintain their world number one rank while the South Africans have been elevated to number two, fanning the flames of competitiveness between the two teams.

But as every team knows, Australia is a completely different team on home soil, a fact the Black Caps found the hard way, losing both tests within four days and offering very little resistance.

Instead of returning fire, Nielsen offered some hasty advice to the South African team.

He noted the good average (in particular batting averages) of the Proteas this year and urged them to focus playing the cricket that has seen them reach world number two, instead of relying on cheap tactics and quick fixes.

Australia play as an exciting, honest brand of cricket that could do without the controversy of last year’s series in which India attempted to drag their series through the mud duringB and after a five-nil whitewash.
