With the State Of Origin series now behind us, it’s full steam ahead to the finals – and it’s going to be a rocky ride. With matches being very unpredictable all season, this week is proving to be no different. Here are the current odds and our preview:
Wests Tigers vs Penrith Panthers
1.42 vs 2.90
The Tiger’s will be hungry to win this one, as it should be their easiest in the run into the finals. Expect them to maul the woeful Panthers.
Brisbane Broncos vs Gold Coast Titans
1.37 vs 3.10
The Broncos will be battle weary from an avalanche of matches for most of their players over the last month. Expect this one to go down to the wire – Brisbane to win but the Titans at the +8 point line.
South Sydney Rabbits vs Melbourne Storm
2.45 vs 1.53
The Storm should crack the whip in the match. The Bunnies have improved and will make the top 8, but they won’t be winning this one.
North Queensland Cowboys vs New Zealand Warriors
1.75 vs 2.10
It’s traditionally tough to win in North Queensland, but the Warriors’ defense is up for the challenge and we feel New Zealand will get up in this one.
Manly Sea Eagles vs Sydney Roosters
1.23 vs 4.30
The Sea Eagles need a win and this is the game to do it in. The Rooster will be looking to turn their fortunes around, but don’t expect it in this match.
St George Illawarra vs Canberra Raiders
1.45 vs 2.75
Canberra are a great price for this match up. The Dragons will be resting on their unexpected win of last week and will have trouble beating the Raiders here. Canberra to win or safety in the +7.5 line.
Cronulla Sharks vs Bulldogs
2.45 vs 1.55
Bulldogs finding form – Cronulla losing it. This game could seriously go either way – we’ll take the value in the Sharks, thank you very much.
Parramatta Eels vs Newcastle Knights
1.33 vs 3.40
The Eels are hitting their straps and should get up against the Knights. Warning though, if they are off their game at all the Knights will sneak home.
