In other matches around the grounds over the weekend, the Swans humiliated Port by thumping them by 68 points. An absolute shame for Port who were looking good and primed to start off the season well. It’s early days though and we’re hoping port can shine through.

In one of the closest matches this week, the Lions snatched a 2 point win in front of a fired home crowd at the Gabba. It was a fantastic home victory for the Lions against arch rivals Collingwood and has sent a clear message that the Lions are here to play in 2008.
