Essendon V Carlton – A very difficult game for tipsters to open the weekend. With the Bombers getting a few familiar faces back, coupled with their recent good record against Carlton, I would tip Essendon in this clash.

Collingwood V Fremantle – If the Magpies have top-four aspirations, then they will not drop this one against a Fremantle outfit which has struggled this season. Tip Collingwood to get its fifth win in a row.
Adelaide V Sydney – The Crows are in white-hot form and will account for the struggling Swans at home. No game is easy against Sydney, but Adelaide has the edge in class and will prevail.
Brisbane V Melbourne – One word: Brisbane. The Lions are developing nicely under Michael Voss and will win this game easily.
West Coast V Hawthorn – Two teams out-of-form, yet one of them has the ability to get out of their slumber. The Hawks need to win this game, otherwise their finals hopes could be in the casualty ward. There is too much at stake for the reigning premier.

Geelong V Port Adelaide – The Cats at home are, almost, unbeatable. They will win this clash over the hit-and-miss Port Adelaide. Geelong simply has too many stars for the injury-riddled Power to cover.
North Melbourne V Western Bulldogs – Could North deliver caretaker coach Darren Crocker a victory in his first game in the head chair? Tipsters should not think so. The Bulldogs are in super form and the Kangaroos have a number of injuries – not a good outlook if you are a North fan.
St. Kilda V Richmond – Saints will win this clash easily if they are serious. Will win their 13th in succession and set-up a mouth-watering clash with Geelong the following week.
